Matt grew up in Kernersville, North Carolina. Upon graduation from High School, he attended Gardner Webb University on a soccer scholarship. In 1994, he decided to move into the Golf Industry as a Golf Professional under the PGA of America program working at several private clubs in the Carolinas. This move would be valuable in that it created long lasting relationships and training from some of the best mentors that would endure long after leaving the industry in 2003.
After leaving the industry, Matt turned to the Real Estate and Mortgage Industry which in time led him to financial services in the Lake Norman area. He found his passion was to help families protect what’s most important to them. After being contacted by several companies, he realized A4 Capital was the best opportunity because of the mentorship and outstanding presence they have in the area.
He currently has a NC Life Insurance License and is working towards completing his series 65 exam. Matt resides in Concord, NC with his wife, Amanda and two children, Riley and Allyson. He enjoys spending time with family, golfing and fishing. Matt is an active member of the Lake Norman Chamber and his church.
Pat grew up in Camden, South Carolina. Upon graduation from High School, he volunteered for the draft and entered the United States Army for two years. He then decided to earn his college degree, enrolling and graduating from South Carolina State University in 1980, thereby reentering the Army as a Second Lieutenant, and retiring as a Major. While in the military, he earned his Master’s Degree in Administration from Central Michgan University in 1995.
After retiring from the United States Army in 1997, Pat decided to go into business for himself in the financial services industry. His passion for helping families and businesses achieve financial independence was an obvious choice since even during his military tenure, he assisted other service members with financial concerns. His desire was so strong, that in 1984 at the rank of Captain, Pat interviewed with a major financial services company and considered leaving the military, but ultimately decided not to. His goal is to open several A4 one-stop-shop financial services offices in the states of North and South Carolina over the next 10 years. His passion is to educate middle and upper income America on basic financial principles that have normally been reserved for the wealthy. Pat currently holds a life, accident, and health license.
Pat is married to his lovely wife, Jane, and has four adult children.
